Alice In Wonderland Birthday Tea Party - 4th Birthday

Emma decided on a Disney Alice in Wonderland Tea Party for her 4th birthday (OK, so I MAY have encouraged her a bit). We started planning early and most of the deorations were handmade (there isn't any Alice party decor out there!).

Here is the Birthday Girl all dressed up like Alice:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Decor

The girls' tea table:

The party room:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The moms' table:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lanterns hung from ceiling, just like in the Disney movie:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A little vignette:

We made all of the topiaries and made a mini one for the doll table. My mom paper-pieced the Queen of Hearts.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Cake

The teapot cake:

Each girl got their own teacup cupcake with cookie saucer & chocolate covered pretzel handle:

The cake table:

The green "box" on the table is actually the Mad Hatters hat that I made from a spray painted paper bag and black ribbon.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Food
Homemade chocolate pretzel wands:

Homemade teacup cookies and mushrooms made from marshmallows, chocolate & Nilla wafers:

We served ham salad, chicken salad, & cucumber sandwiches. I also made peanut butter & fluff sandwiches cut-out with a butterfly cookie cutter (not pictured):
The buffet bar:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Queen of Hearts Crafts
The girls decorated bonnets with flowers and colored Alice in Wonderland coloring pages:

I hung hearts and playing cards on fishing line all around the room. The decorations in this area were all done in black & red.

You can read a full description of the party here. As soon as I locate the missing disc, I will add pictures of the games.

I love this! I'm not alone. I thought I was the only person who took a theme and carried it too far. Well, not too far for me, but maybe for others. :)

Hi, I am new to the community, but have been watching this blog for a while, as I have been planning a Alice in wonderland party for my daughters (they have the same birthday). I wanted to ask you about the platter for the tea pot cake. I have been looking for a platter just like it, that I have seen in several magazines, but can't find anything like it on the internet. Could you please tell me where did you buy it, or the name of the brand. Maybe I'll be able to locate one like that. Thank you!
by the way, the party looked incredible!
