Spring Tea Party Favors

Since the budget was tight for our Celebrate Spring Tea Party, I was hoping to come up with favors for under $10. I was very excited to come in way under budget! For $5.06, our guests went home with simple, yet cute favors!

The adults received a decorated packet of seeds:

Seeds - 10 for $1 at Dollar Tree
Ribbon - 33¢ for spool on sale at Michael's
Flowers - 99¢ for bunch at Old Time Pottery

Total cost with tax - $2.48

-----------------------------------

Each girl received a small velour bag filled with a few goodies (I apologize for the poor photo - I forgot to take a better picture before we handed them all out):Velour bag - $0 (I purchased these bags on clearance after Easter a few years ago, so I didn't count them in this party budget. If I added the cost, it would only be an additional $2.41 - still under budget!)
Marshmallow Rope Twists - 10 for $1 at Dollar Tree
Pastel Lifesavers - $0 (paid $1.66 with Target gift card received from prescription transfer coupon)
Flower Bracelet - 14 for $1 at Michael's
Tootsie Pop Flower - 44¢ (the Tootsie Pops were free with the Target gift card & foam was 41¢ with coupon at Joann's).

Total cost with tax for girls' favors - $2.58

-----------------------------------------------As I posted last week, each girl received a flower headband when they arrived. These adorable headbands came from the Dollar Spot at Target and were $1 each. I used another Target gift card to pay for these, so it was $0 for nine headbands.

I found out the evening before the tea that one boy from Emma's class would be coming to the tea. Since all of the favors were very girly, I had to come up with something different. Luckily, I was able to find things in my craft stash!

I made a Bumblebee Antennae Headband with a black headband, yellow pipe cleaners & two styrofoam balls. I painted the styrofoam balls yellow & used a black Sharpie to add stripes. For the favor bag, I used a small white cardboard box with handles (leftover from another party) and filled it with Lifesavers, Tootsie Pop Flower & a bug in slime test tube leftover from my son's Mad Scientist party.

Check back for more tea party pictures!

I am always amazed...I would love to have seen a picture of the boy's headband that sounded just as clever as the girls!

Everything is so cute! I like your idea with the little boy headband. I just found out that there may be 3 little boys at my niece Maci's first birthday. Everything I'm doing is very girly...including the pink favor pails! Not sure what to do about them....other then go out an buy more, but...we live in the middle of nowhere. :) My sister-in-law said the girly stuff would be just fine, since whenever her girls go to the boy's party, it's all transformers and stuff like that. :)

Great selections for the favors! And everything looks so nicely displayed. It must be a real treat to go to one of your parties!

party can be really fun but can also be stressful. However, if you use a planning guide to assist with the plans, your party will be a spectacular party without all the stress that comes along with planning such a special event. Also consider the type of party supplies to be used .
